There are a lot of poker variations currently played at your favorite casinos and online casinos. The most popular one is certainly Texas Hold’em, but other variations including the Caribbean Stud Poker are no less interesting. If you want to learn more about Caribbean Stud Poker and how to play the game, you have come to the right place.

The round starts with a betting session. You can place your bets as well as a $1 side bet to win the progressive jackpots. You – along with the other players on the table – will then get five cards face down, while the dealer gets four cards face down plus one card face up.

You can look at your cards and decide if you want to fold or raise. Remember that sharing information among players are not allowed. If you decide to fold, all your bets are lost including the side bet. If you choose to raise, you have to bet exactly twice the ante.

The dealer will then open the four hole cards. In order to qualify, the dealer must have an Ace and a King or higher. If the dealer’s hand doesn’t qualify, you will win even money on your ante bet and the raise will push.

If the dealer does qualify, all hands are compared. If the dealer’s hand is stronger, you will lose all your bets. If the dealer’s hand is not stronger than yours, you will get even money for your ante bet. The payout for your raise is based on a certain payout table used.
